Our Design & Production Process

While every event is unique, our approach is thoughtfully structured to ensure a seamless, creative, and

stress-free experience from start to finish.

Concept & Direction

We begin by understanding the heart of your event — the occasion, guest count, venue, date, and how you want the experience to feel. From there, we define the creative direction, including theme, color palette, and overall design vision. Whether you arrive with inspiration or need guidance from the ground up, we lead the process with clarity and intention.

Design Visualization

Once the concept is established, we bring your event to life through curated design boards, mood imagery, and detailed visual mockups. These include selected furniture, linens, tableware, décor elements, and florals — allowing you to see how every detail works together before anything is booked or produced.

Virtual Walkthrough & Space Planning

To help you fully envision the design in your venue, we create a customized layout and mock setup of the space. During a virtual Zoom walkthrough, you’ll be able to review floor plans, visual layouts, and design elements together — experiencing how the event will flow and feel in real time. This collaborative step ensures confidence, alignment, and excitement before moving forward.

Vendor Coordination & Preparation

With the design approved, we coordinate closely with our trusted vendor partners to confirm all design-related elements, rentals, and production details. While we do not fabricate or warehouse rentals in-house, our long-standing relationships allow us to ensure quality, consistency, and smooth execution across every design component.

Installation & Event Setup

Our team oversees the on-site installation of all design elements, working closely with the venue and vendors to bring the vision to life as planned. From layout and décor placement to final styling touches, we ensure everything is executed with care and precision.

Breakdown & Wrap-Up

Following the event, we return to oversee the breakdown and removal of all design elements, coordinating with vendors and the venue to ensure a smooth and efficient wrap-up.

What's the design process like working with you?

Working with Marissa is a highly personalized and thoughtfully guided experience. It begins with getting to know you — your style, preferences, needs, and goals — and then translating that into a cohesive design through curated inspiration boards, detailed floor plans, and immersive 3D visualizations. Every element is intentionally selected and coordinated to ensure the final result feels seamless, elevated, and true to you.

Absolutely. Every project is custom by design. Whether your inspiration is clear or still taking shape, we tailor each detail — from color palettes and florals to layout, textures, and finishing touches — to create a cohesive, one-of-a-kind experience that reflects your story and style.

Do you offer event planning services,
or only design?

Magical Momintz Designs is first and foremost a luxury event design and production studio. Our primary focus is creating the overall vision, aesthetic, and guest experience — from concept development and space planning to décor, styling, and production execution.

Many elements of our work naturally fall under event planning, and we are happy to provide planning support when it aligns with the scope and needs of your event. Full planning services are offered on a selective basis and may include collaborating with or bringing on trusted planning professionals to manage logistics and day-of coordination. This approach allows us to remain fully focused on creative direction while ensuring every aspect of your event is handled with care and precision.

Will you work with my planner, venue, or vendors?

Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with clients who already have planners in place and work closely with venues and vendor teams to ensure the design vision is executed beautifully and consistently. When clients need recommendations, we offer a curated list of trusted vendors we know and work with often — professionals whose quality, reliability, and aesthetic align with our standards. These established relationships allow for clearer communication, smoother coordination, and a more seamless execution, ensuring every detail comes together effortlessly.

What level of investment is required to work with you?

Every event we design is fully custom, and investment varies based on the scope of the celebration, guest count, and level of design and production involved. While many of our projects include full-scale décor and custom elements, we also work with more intimate events where the design is thoughtfully scaled. Because many elements are sourced through trusted partners, overall costs are shaped collaboratively as the vision takes form. Some clients come in with a defined budget, others with flexibility or none at all — our role is to guide the process, helping prioritize design elements and allocate resources in a way that creates the greatest impact and value for your event.
